Keynote address for AIA Michigan

It was an honor to deliver the keynote at AIA Michigan’s Archifusion 2025. I spoke about HOW TO WIN BUSINESS WITH STORYTELLING, a special take on the Storyline Sessions that I’ve developed for architects and designers.

Here are a few things I’ve learned about giving keynotes.

  • I always take a moment before I deliver the keynote to step into the front of the room and get a feeling for what it was like from the speaker’s perspective. Feeling settled in the space is the first step to feeling comfortable as a keynoter, especially for an introvert like me.

  • It works wonders, before you go on, to set an intention for the talk. In the talk I recently gave in Detroit, I set an intention for helping all the architects in the room connect with their purpose and shape stories that addressed what their clients needed.

I offer the Storyline Sessions as a Masterclass for architects, and also an edition of the Storyline Sessions for startup founders.
