Rightbrainers is a podcast about tech and creativity from Z by HP that is produced by Giant Spoon, a global agency. Giant Spoon asked Red Cup to consult on the pocast.

Development

When Red Cup came on board, Giant Spoon had completed much of the development of this five-episode podcast. The host was in place, guests were scheduled, and the podcast format was decided. But would all that planning result in a great podcast? Red Cup worked with the Giant Spoon team to further develop and hone their existing ideas for show structure, scripting, pacing, and editing.

Production

Rightbrainers was recorded 100% remotely. Guests were sent microphones in advance. An audio engineer participated (via Zoom) in every session to be sure audio quality remained high. Lee Schneider, as producer, attended all recording sessions (also using Zoom) to coach the host through the questions when needed, suggest re-asks of questions, and be sure that the narrative arc was preserved.

Post-Production

Red Cup edited all the session material into the podcast format the team had previously agreed upon, executing on Giant Spoon’s concept and meeting client expectations.

Promotion

Working from scripts created by the Giant Spoon team, Red Cup crated three different audio trailers for the project: A teaser trailer to announce it followed by a sixty-second and thirty-second trailer to build the audience.
